Sandhya Rao works on being mixed reality into Teams
Using Remote Assist which is a hololens app
Remote assist and teams focuses on first line workers, first line works as service technician, factory workers, doing technical work and sometimes they need a little more help, they could use hololens to help solve this, priory to this a lot of Frontline workers email or call someone and go back and forth and explain what’s going on and how it works, experts on call sometimes have to come onsite to fix something which can be expensive.
Remote assist helps by allowing the front line worker with hololens to call a expert using teams in real time.
calling teams user
Jump into Demo
Kate is calling
Kate is using a hololens
As Kate moves around we see everything she sees and also we can see the call window
Follow her round and help her out
Kate asks for some help with a audio mixer and the microphone isn’t working
We first move the call window to the left to focus on the mixer
Look at soundboard, Kate needs help
We can highlight inputs on sound bar
add arrows
check dial
check connections to mic is good
annotate on top of the image
she can see annotations as they are being drawn using mixed reality toolbar, inking, pull up files from OneDrive into user space
reduce it takes to fix problems using teams and hololens
a lot of first line workers have issues that took days weeks to solve, using remote assist and Microsoft Teams

Summary from me.
Overall i think the idea of Mixed reality and Teams is awesome and i hope its adopted, i can see the great use cases and its definitely the future. Why send out out an engineer when you have the view what the person is seeing and collaborate and work on the issue in real-time there and then. I wonder if emergency services and rescues could adopt this as well to save lives. The possibilities are endless im sure ! i just need to get me a hololens now
