Microsoft Teams first look at Anonymous Join, Lobby, Edge and Chrome

So after watching the announcement on Teams On Air that anonymous join and Lobby were here, and Meeting join via Edge and Chrome were here as well i wanted to test it out. The plugin less meeting experience however isn’t in SfB meetings and it is very slick experience considering there’s no plugins involved.

Most of these features are all in Skype for Business Meetings and are now transitioned into Teams Meetings and i think most were marked for Q4 2017 on the Teams Roadmap so this completes the meetings updates for Q4 2017. Next on the roadmap for Teams Meetings is below scheduled at Q2 this year.

In fact after this post Microsoft released a new update for the roadmap dated 30th Jan 2018 which marks all items of Q4 2017. See the updated roadmap here

For Anonymous Join into meetings this really is the ability to add Guests outside of your organisation into Teams Meetings,  all the attendees need is any email address and a browser to join meetings.

Lets Go have a meeting !

I scheduled a Teams Meeting in Teams desktop client and invited my personal Hotmail email address but you can invite anyone now.  You can now invite anyone with any email address into Meetings as guests.
